Director Chairs

Spent the weekend buying some lawn furniture. Got a standard teak style table, with 4 matching chairs and an umbrella, but also needed extra chairs for having people over.

Some friends took us to visit their chair guy at the Khan el Khalili (this giant market that has entrepreneurs selling everything you could possibly imagine), who makes these director style chairs. Ended up buying 4 chairs, 2 tables, 2 wooden bowls, 3 embroidered pillow cases-- and almost a hen (for laying eggs).

At 80 LE per handmade chair ($11.89), not a bad purchase. We had to wait an hour for the chairs and tables to be made and assembled.
