Ham Hock Terrine with Piccalilli

Yes, we have escaped for a couple of days; to Northcote Manor in North Devon for a food and spa break; before "who know's what' is going to happen.

We have tried to make the most of the last few of months; without taking risks.  Our new National Trust cards have taken a hammering, but it has been surprisingly good, the staff and volunteers have done amazingly.

The weather forecast for the next two days is not great, so we are planning to make the most of the spa.  Tonight though it was a good meal from the set menu.  It was all very tasty, from the ham hock starter, to the fruit salad for dessert (extra photo.)
