Do wolves exist in Luxor?

Richard, a guy I met recently from Holland, is currently spending 10 years on the road,in his camper van/small Winnebago.

We met at the foot of the tombs of Shuroy & Roy a few days ago, as he had climbed the Qurna Mountain with his 'Guide' and also friend of mine, Samara.

Yesterday, we bumped into him and he began sharing his stories from many of the Countries he has visited so far, ending with the days trip to the Tomb of Ay. The tale consisted of the number of people that 'Escorted' him on his trip through the Valley to get to the tomb and also the cost incurred! The most interesting piece of information, was the sighting of a Wolf.
The local people are adamant that wolves exist here, while others are sure they are just wild dogs. Richard managed to take a photograph of the wolf-dog, to which we were almost unanimous it was NOT a fox, as was suggested, it was NOT a dog, but looked remarkably like a wolf!

This is a pooch that is part of a crew that travel around the West Bank. He was very friendly and very obliging to pose as I took his photo.
