Snow on the crossbar

Quite a good day, all things considered.

The motto of the past 2 months has been "don't get involved" - and as such, I have (in general) ignored events in the UK, not screamed loudly at Erin O'Toole, only called Pierre Poilièvre a mealy-mouthed scrote twice, and (having unfriended them all) ignored the anti-vaxxer-style rhetoric of former acquaintances and family members.

It was therefore the only sane approach to take with the US election. If they are intent of voting in Darth Satsuma once again, so be it. It really hasn't been a big problem not going to the States, not buying US produce (although I do miss some Californian wines), and making sure any American-run Canadian companies are left off my shopping lists... so I am prepared to do it for the next four years if need be. That'll show them.

Fortunately, Ottawacker Jr. kept me entertained. He loves the snow, and has perfected the art of the diving save - sliding across the goal line and crashing into the post. I was concerned the first time he did it, but soon realised the posts were in much greater danger than he was.

PM - a nice relaxing time watching Liverpool win in Italy. Everything came together for a glorious 5-0 victory over Atalanta. 

Evening... quick glance to see what was going on to the south, then even quicker switch off. It'll be a mess no matter what happens.
