Twilight Treat

I've had a really busy day today - washing, gardening, baking. I was pleasantly surprised that I still had enough energy to go for a crepuscular wander. The sunset was lovely but was soon over. As I stood watching the display, I heard a familiar sound, and into view came a chattering skein of Pink-footed Geese. We saw thousands of them in North Norfolk, gathering and feeding in the fields post -harvest, but there is something special about seeing them passing through my patch..
