Kathy

This is my lovely bonkers friend Kathy. We first met when I started teaching and have stayed in touch over the years. I am sitting in Basingstoke hospital with her while she is having a barium meal and scan. She has a very slow growing cancer- only one in a million have it and Basingstoke specialises in it. She is so full of fun and so positive but hates these yearly scans.
Her Mum is an interesting lady - she is the writer Ursula Holden and at 91 has just had her books republished- Tin Toys. We think she is on Woman's Hour next Monday .
Kathy hasn't been able to eat all day so I have a huge bar of hazelnut choc for when she comes out.
