Dawn's Journal

End of Day

With COVID-19 lockdown #2 imminent, and having subsequently "lost" my holiday trip to The Lakes in a couple of weeks time, I took advangtage of the good weather forecast to head down to the south coast and West Wittering Beach. As was probably to be expected, it was busy, but with controlled parking via online booking there was plenty of space for everyone to social distance and enjoy the day safely.

With high tide around lunchtime, there were plenty of "rollers" coming in ... so much so there there were even some hardy souls attempting, and succeeding, to surf (extras).

However the highlight of the day had to be the sunset.  By this time the tide had receded to expose the sandy beach with views across to Hayling Island and the Isle of Wight.  The end to an almost perfect day.
