In the Oak Wood

I had for me what turned out to be a busy day. When I was just out of the shower, my daughter phoned in a chatty mood. She was taking the air on her lunch hour. I was pleased to hear that despite the new lockdown, the independent bookshop she runs is continuing, albeit, in a different way. Her only complaint was that she was exhausted. I then headed out into the sunshine, and met a good friend and fellow scribe on the towpath, and had another long blether. So all in all probably the most talking I've done for ages.
