Compton Verney Bridge

This is the image I had planned for yesterday's wide Wednesday - but by the time I was on my way home from the dentist it was past sunset and the rain would have killed off any reflections.

Form these words into a well known sequence:  better large looks black on

Compton Verney is not far from home but a road closure in the village means a detour of 6 or 7 km is needed to get there.  The official detour goes on a tour de Warwickshire of ~17km ... probably because those roads are gritted in the winter and are ok for large vehicles.  This could be interesting as the winter progresses, we have the secondary school for the local area in the village so the school buses will have to find alternatives.  It probably does not help that work around HS2 is also causing a few road closures and diversions, which are confusing enough for us locals, let alone anyone from out of the area.
At least the traffic is much reduced over the next 4 weeks!

Off to Charlecote Park tomorrow as the weather looks ok and they had plenty of timed entry tickets available.

Thanks to everyone who visited my journal yesterday - all much appreciated.
