Lathyrus Odoratus

By lathyrus

Monday morning

Blue skies, a light frost and warm sunshine greeted the spaniel and I as we headed out early this morning. We don't normally walk along the firebreaks because they are usually inhabited by horse riders and devoid of fungi or other interest but this morning we took a short cut up this one and found the skull of a dead crow/jackdaw at the end. The rest of the bird - save a few black feathers - seems to have been carted away. I've got the skull soaking in hot water - it might make an interesting blip later in the week.
