Sixteen

Sixteen years ago today, this extraordinary young man made me a mother. I’m awed at this image of us, he’s so grown up and I am so proud of him. Sixteen seems a gateway of sorts, with the whole driving thing. He’s only moderately interested, but I’m ready to let him. He’s trustworthy and careful. So we’ll see, right?
