Morning light. Flower Friday

Just popped out for a quick morning walk as the sun was bright and the air crisp! The daisies showed up bright and happy so here for your delight. Walk later in the day across to mount edgcumbe where we saw a battery of heron in a field! See them there quite often and couldn’t quite get my head around why they were in a field and not by water. So looked it up on my phone and apparently herons are birds who are completely at home doing nothing they spend the minimalist amount of time fishing to get the same fish they need to sustain them and then spend time time standing around with their fellow loafers! Some 17% of the tie is taken up with preening but apart from that just loafing!! Extraordinary. Apparently cormorants have the same tendency though you often see them diving for fish!
