One year the Guild tombola was pennants. I seem to have several pinned to the top of my sewing room noticeboard.. Perhaps I should make a short length of bunting. 
I am gripped by the unfolding US election. Four years ago I was in Houston (for the Quilt Show) on the Monday before. the vote. It was fascinating watching Fox News (!) and hearing Vox Pop comments. I should have been there again this year. The reason I wasn't there is maybe the reason for the impending result. I stayed up to listen to Trump's speech in the Press Room - lots of monotone whining and whinging.
