Have Camera Will Travel

By cathy1947

Penultimate day.

Scotland trip day 14.

On the tourist trail today we head North into the Cairngorm National Park. Our first stop is the town of Kingussie where perched on the hill  is  Ruthven Barracks, from here on a clear day you can see for miles..... today was such a day.

Leaving Kingussie behind we travel on until we reach the small quiet village of Carrbridge -famous for the ‘Old Packhorse bridge spanning the river Dulnain. The village is also famous for the annual competition to find the world’s  best - Porridge Maker.

Back in the car we make the 4 mile drive to the Boat of Garten and the home of the Strathspey Railway, also the site of this lovely derelict crane.

Our homeward journey takes us through the ski resort of Aviemore with magnificent views of the Cairngorms.

Arriving back at the caravan site we witnessed this amazing sunset.

Early night for us tonight as we are heading home tomorrow, and lockdown.
