Play Misty for Me .....

A dry day thankfully as Ronnie here with his mobile bruiser to process the pile of barley in the shed . Borrowed my friendly contractor’s Manitou telehandler to load the bruiser as our tractor loaders don’t lift high enough to reach. The barley passes between 2 heavy steel rollers which flatten it so the animals can digest it then it was getting 10 litres/ ton of prop corn ( propanoic acid) to preserve it as it was sitting at 19.5-20 % moisture.
By 4 pm we had all 72 tons done and I nipped next door with the manitou to lift wee brother up to clear out the gutter on the big shed as we don’t have ladders long enough to reach. By the time I headed back down the road to return it , it was getting dark and the fog had come back in so it was an interesting drive !
Then back home to put silage in to the cattle as they didn’t have enough left to see them till the morning.
The sun was trying to shine through the fog as it was setting behind these ewes tonight.
