Bright Spot On An Overcast Morning

It is Flower Friday and an overcast morning. Among all the Mexican Hats and Mealy Blue Sage, I saw this bright yellow spot of a single Plains Coreopsis,.  I thought he was all alone until I looked at the shot on my camera and saw he had a tiny visitor, a spider.  The blossom with a visitor usually gets to be the blip and cover photo for the day.  Today, I had a choice of three: a Mealy Blue Sage with a bug I could not identify, a Mexican Hat with a Shield Bug who failed to coordinate his bright red out fit with the flower and this pop of sunshine with the spider.  The day brightened up eventually, but this one started to brighten my day almost immediately!   Thanks to Biker Bear for hosting
