Breaking news!

On this, the last warmish spell before winter arrives with force, I decided to spend the entire day outside in the garden, which for the most part, has been winterized. Buried in the mounds of leaf litter, I found a sleepy woolly bear with a wide brown band on his black body. This means we are in for an easier than usual winter, according to folklore. I had to wake him up for his photo shoot but placed him under the deck, among the wood chips where he should overwinter very well.

This is stupendous news; the easier winter bit.

What else could possibly eclipse that?
