Remembering

We had a much curtailed Remembrance gathering in Northleach Market Place this morning by the war memorial which was, as always, very moving.  Our choir 'led' the singing and wreaths were laid.  Afterwards, people were naturally catching up with their friends for a while until a police car pulled in and a policeman started, politely, telling us all to break off our conversations and go home!  It was good while it  lasted.

This poppy is one of the ceramic ones from the Tower of London.  We bought two in memory of my Uncle Jack, killed in Tunisia in 1942, and Mr Sk's Uncle Roy who was a glider pilot and was killed at Arnhem in 1944.
