Remembrance

A War Grave in the churchyard of St Cosmus and St Damian. We walked from the University creche car park open to all at the weekend to the church and back involving going down and up so good exercise.
We watched the cenotaph ceremony before setting out. Both our fathers were in the war, Alan's at Dunkirk. Mine enjoyed it  moving with anti=aircraft guns around the UK and crossing to France on Day 30. Many of my friends' fathers were in the Japanese camps. My mother had 11 Parkinson cousins, mostly only children. Two died in the war. Harry taking a message at Alamein and Henry a glider pilot at Arnhem. So although I was a baby boomer born in '47 the aftermath of war coloured my upbringing.
Home for lunch, pheasant.
