The decline

I don't like the decline of my High Street. It appears to be following a repeating pattern lately of shop closes, shop empty, shop reopens as a hairdressers, barbershop, tea room or nail bar.

This unit was previously a shoe shop for many years. It opened briefly as a pop up 'Salty Dog' gift shop before Christmas and over the weekend, it has transformed into yet another hairdressers.

I haven't noticed that the local population (when you actually meet anyone) has a particularly keen interest in hair styling.
