in the trees

i was startled - and very surprised - when i went out for a brief walk - around the grounds - and in a section of trees - caught this flash of color - going to investigate - i found this gem - i believe it to be - a western tanager bird - but again i am - notoriously bad at identifying - so don’t mark my word

the reality though is that - i was stunned to see - this type of bird in the area - this late in - the season though it may - not be unusual at all - again i’m ignorant with my knowledge - it was a cool surprise on - a rather dull day that turned it into...
