Escape

Today was far to beautiful to spend it working so Dom, Chris and I hopped in the car and escaped to the Lakes. I forget how lucky we are to live so close to the Lakes, and how Beautiful this corner of the country is

We decided to bypass Windemere and Ambleside with it being sunny and a weekend and instead headed over to Coniston. A wander round the lakefront soon became an 'I wonder if we can get up there' moment. We decided not to scale the Old Man but took the path along Miners Bridge. Along the way we spied this hill and decided to see if we could reach the top.

Best thing about a day in the Lakes? The beautiful views, and the inevitable pub dinner afterwards. The only downside to this day was the sunset. It was beautiful and stunning and we were too far from the bloody Lake to get a good photo (and I was driving so no sneaky shot out of the window either)
