Opening carnival season

Today is actually the opening of the carnival season. However, due to corona no carnival this year. The
Carnival season ends on Ash Wednesday before Easter.
In my younger years my husband and I danced in a carnival dance troupe. In the 1970s we introduced acrobatics on stage. today this is still done by many groups that perform during carnival. Still proud that we "from a small village in the Netherlands" have managed to do this.
