I noticed the George VI postbox on my lunchtime walk around the hospital. Apparently it's a Priority Postbox according to the sticker, although I'm not entirely sure what that means. I guess that Royal Mail will empty it despite the pandemic and staff shortages.
lbsg: GRVIType B Pillar box dating from as far back as 1937.
There was some priority news today though.
Pfizer and BioNTech have announced an RNA vaccine that they have said is over 90% effective. The only snag seems to be the storage at -80°C.
It does seem to have come from nowhere though. I've heard lots about the Astra Zeneca and Oxford Group vaccine but nothing about this one. I guess only time will really tell which vaccines will be approved as both safe and effective.
