Another lightbulb moment!

Why can't all lightbulbs have the same kind of fitment? We seem to have at least 8 different types of lightbulb in the box under the sink, none of which looks remotely like this one...

I am reliably informed that the spare bulbs of this type are in a little cardboard tube, somewhere under the sink. I hope so, because these are the special 'wake me up slowly so I don't feel like death in the morning' bulbs, which do seem to work!!
