Shuttered Window

I'm not really sure what the shutters are for, except maybe to keep out the heat in the summertime. It really doesn't storm a lot in this neck of the woods, but perhaps the style of architecture came from somewhere else and just became a part of the local style. No matter the reason, I thought these were exceptionally nice and needed to be shared.
