Treescape

With an hour's window to walk, I took a familiar route from home passing this group of trees and the small lake beyond and paused for a moment to frame this shot. 

I like the composition for leading the eye to the highlights and texture on the nearest tree and the cropping above to draw the viewer into the frame and the trees beyond. 

I know it's autumn and colours are dazzling, but I think this shot works well in mono.
