Poppies In the Sunshine

There are very few poppies in my garden this year. I don’t know why. They just failed to come up. My son found a little clump in the lawn and has been mowing round it. They look a bit strange in the middle of the lawn, but the sight of them from the kitchen window has been giving me a lot of pleasure. Here they stand out in a ray of sunshine.
