Rain first thing so I baked bread and tea loaf. Then when the sun came out I drove out a short way to recce another walk. It was lovely, no PFs and just a short muddy singletrack where the mountain bikers had taken over. When I first spotted the young hedgehog, at a distance, tootling down a village street I thought it was a rat! But soon became clear. Lucky for him (or her) the weather’s staying mild. Extra is Barrowden village duck pond. No one at home. It always makes me think of the MPs expenses scandal. Finished my walk in the dark - see extra of Fineshade Abbey - becoming a habit- with owls hooting in the woods. It was super to come back home to the smell of fresh bread.
