Mahonia

Often I comment that I have never seen it flower so early. Not this time, it has waited until well into November for the first blossom to open.

I had difficulty finding a decent angle as the only flowers opening are on the north side, overhanging the wall that I was keen to avoid falling off, instead of the south side on a level with the border, so I was also against the light

I have not pruned the bush for a couple of years, so, as soon as flowering is over, I shall cut the longest stems down to about halfway and next year some flowers will be more accessible.

Thanks to Anni for hosting Flower Friday.
