Tonight I play Amanda F******g Palmer to Nick. It’s a great album.

Gordy is listening to Fugazi and Buzzcocks. I tell him about AFP too.

Then I take a nighttime ride to Paulswell for a socially distance social ... on my new eBike. It’s a wild experience, easy and yet exhausting. I arrive breathless and sweating, but sooner than I would have if I’d been entirely self powered.

On the way home, I push it from Tour (second lowest) to Turbo (top). I don’t go any faster - electrical assistance cuts out at 25 km/h - but I maintain my speed uphill.

The most amazing bit is going up the final steep muddy track in low gear. Revolutionary!
