I don't need an alarm call at this time of year.

During the first hour of light this chap turns up and starts to mark his territory. This has been happening for the last 3 years so I assume its the same bird but if course it could be something passed on to the next generation.

He alternates between hammering the wood of the pole, but then much louder and more impressively, the plastic cover over the BT connections as an amplifier.
