Tidy-up

This morning was spent gardening, in spite of the threat of rain. Leaves were raked up and left to form a mulch under the pear tree. Removing some weeds from this area revealed some small bulbs that had already grown short shoots. It won't be too long now until they appear above ground to welcome the new year with yellow aconite flowers and snowdrops.
