The Bench

Today promised to be a little better weather-wise than yesterday,  though we did have some heavy rain and I had to await a dry patch before getting out for my walk.

I did my usual walk to Shottery stopping along the way to take a picture or two.

This forlorn bench sits by the path that follows Shottery Brook.  Jubilee Walk has been open to the public for years, along with the Shottery Brook Walk.  Both have been closed since the start of the pandemic, coinciding with the closing of all Shakespeare Birthplace Trust's properties.  There are warning signs about trespassing, nothing friendly or apologetic at closing a pleasant walkway.  All one can do is look over the fence!

In Other News: An exciting day in the tennis world with Day 1 of the ATP Finals held at the O2 in London, with no audience of course.  A good week of tennis ahead.
