Praise And A Prayer

Our church services began with praise in different styles as they do every Sunday morning.  The most important thing about our praise is that it is  all directed to the same loving and mighty God who has promised us that His plans for us are for good and not for evil.  In the traditional music service, Debbie blessed us with a timely song about God's care for us in difficult times in our lives and the contemporary service was blessed by the leadership of Jason H..  As we came to the joint portion of our service,  Dr. David Smith called our attention to the final and longest prayer of Jesus for his disciples and for all of us who would come to follow Him.  Jesus prayed that, as His followers, we would experience  the joy of God,, follow the Word of God,, go forth in the mission of God, be united in the love of God and sense the glory of God. It may sound like a tall order, but God will show us the way if we seek Him  diligently!
