Beneath Biscay

Underneath the Arches

Gijón now has it's overflow temporary hospital ready again in one of the halls at its exhibition centre. Let's hope that, as in the spring wave, it won't be needed. The daily number of deaths in Asturias seems to be keeping stubbornly high in the 20s, although the infection rate is dipping slightly.

On the way to work happened to bump into J-C and C, up from Madrid outside a church for the funeral of C's father. Nothing to do with Covid as far as I know, just the normal conditions associated with living to a ripe old age. I remember being introduced to him once in the street as we were on the way home from an evening out. Very knowledgeable and would talk the hind legs off a donkey.

Talking of donkeys, underneath the arches.
