Mono Monday. : : Bedroom Door

This oft photographed door is on offer again because I liked the light and shadows. I took the picture to show the newly opened up view. It used to be a solid wood fence and an ugly hot tub cover, but the fence burned down, the hot tub melted and when it was all removed we realized we liked the open view better and opted for more open fencing there...even after a prefab home was trucked in and placed on a foundation out there.
They have been working on this site as long as we've lived here with long fallow periods between bursts of activity so for all we know, the roof trusses will remain on the ground and the building covered in plastic for a few more years.

Although the former owners preferred not to see Los Alamos Drive we rather like the view over the field and up to the road. It has been crowded with trucks erecting telephone poles and cutting down burned trees, but today I saw a man riding by on his horse! You can set your watch by when the trucks with traffic cones go up the road in the morning and return in the evening. I wonder why they don't just leave them there?

There's still plenty of cleanup in the garden to be done...I'm looking forward to replanting this little garden outside the bedroom door once the fence is finished....
