Re-invention

Wild and windy outside, so not a bad day for some housework and yet more admin. amongst other things. And another couple of attempts to phone the bank in an attempt to register our new account for internet banking. The second time the call simply cut out after an hour on hold! Sigh!

Time for the obligatory photo of the cactus with an identity crisis. Not so much an identity crisis - it's flowering the same time as last year - as a re-invention of itself this year. The flowers, pink in previous years, are much more orange in colour than before, almost fluorescent when the sun shines on them. The plant's leaves are withered and we thought it was dying, so the flowers are a nice surprise!
