St Kentigern Church

St Kentigern Anglican Church is in the small but very pretty Kaituna Valley on Banks Peninsula, about 30 minutes drive from Christchurch.

Made of volcanic stone from surrounding hills, the church has a distinctive saddle-back tower.  The church was constructed in 1933-34, however the lychgate is a recent addition, being dedicated in 1989.

In extras there is an image of the Kaituna Valley, taken from a walking track in the area, on a day with very moody weather!
