Maya the Hurdler

Maya is going to run in two events at the National Secondary Schools Athletic Champs in December. 2000m Steeplechase and 4km Road Race. Don one of the other Coaches who is a Sprinter dropped a hint to Maya's Dad last week about competing, Grant had to go home and talk to the Boss as Maya has run 10, 1/2 Marathons this year and the last one 2 weeks ago placed 2nd in the Senior Women's event running 1:42. Tonight Maya had her first practice at Hurdling and has no problem clearing. Next week we are going to fill the Water Jump so she can have a go at that
