A walk round Wigan

Up early as I had to pick up a lady to take her to the hospital for 9am. She was having an endoscopy. She said she would be at least an hour so I knew I had time to go into town to Holland and Barrett for my essential seeds. Everywhere was empty. Very few people thankfully. Was driving back to  the hospital when she rang to say they hadn't got the equipment yet so it would be 11 before she was out, I said no problem. I knew she was nervous about being there. I parked up and went a walk down to Mesnes (pronounced Mains) Park an area I had never been before. Just as I got to the park I saw a couple I knew so we stopped and chatted. They do long walks mainly because A has Alzheimers and she loves to walk miles. She asked her husband how I knew them, he told her we had a mutual friend. I had a lovely walk round the park, it was superb. I walked back to the hospital a different way . I met the couple again on the main road.
I got back to my car and read until 11 then tried to get on the car park again, no chance! I decided to go round the way I had on Monday but was stopped by security as there was a big lorry further up the road. I told him that I was waiting for a patient so he told me to park in a disabled space infront of A and E and if anyone said anything say 'Mick said it was ok!' I got back to the car park and saw it said on the ground infront of the main door ambulances only, I reckoned I was one in one sense, so I parked up. She actually came out escorted by a nurse just by me. I got home just after 12 but I'd had a lovely morning.
