6 weeks to go

“Where are we going Pooh?” asked Piglet.

"We need to get supplies," said Pooh. "For Brexit Lockdown 3.0."

"Ah," said Piglet, nodding in understanding. "Things like frozen veg, and toilet roll, and foreign currency even though we don't have a holiday, because it's meant to be good for these sorts of things."

Pooh did a little laugh, and a sort of leap, and caught a few raindrops on the tip of his tongue. "No," said Pooh. "No, those aren't the sort supplies we need at all. What we need are family sized bags of chocolate buttons, and crisps with dips, and a freezer full of stuffed crust pizzas, and all of the European wine that we can possibly carry, so that when we get locked in we won't mind it even slightly. THOSE are Brexit supplies."

All of a sudden, Piglet thought that the rain didn't seem quite so wet, nor the air so cold, and actually, getting locked in with Pooh and their Brexit supplies really didn't sound such a terrible thing after all. "Oh Pooh," said Piglet, “I really do think you are a Very Wise Animal."
