A female blackcap back in the garden in the rain

I was delighted to see two male bullfinches feeding in the garden this morning. Formerly they'd been daily visitors, but I hadn't seen them for many weeks. By the time I'd got my camera ready, they'd gone, not to return. But a host of other little birds fed avidly in the cold wet conditions.

After half an hour I'd taken pictures of at least ten different species of birds, but this appearance of a female blackcap was perhaps the rarest visitor of the day. I see male blackcaps regularly but the females seem very elusive.
