Life continues

We went out for a patio meal in advance of lockdown in 2 days. A lot of other people made the same decision. It feels like everything is awful and scary these days - the erosion (or maybe end of ) democracy in the US, covid, climate change, destruction of nature....and on and on and on. How do we cope? This little boy was at the neighboring table enjoying life - it made me happy to see his happiness captured in a grainy iPhone shot.
