Cactus and Flower, Abuquerque Botanical Gardens

Nice purple color right??? Wrong...Flower is really red. Why did the camera record it as purple? When built, someone thought the Desert Conservatory was going to be too hot inside, and ordered special glass for the ceiling to keep it cool. Surprise, the special glass altered the light waves and not only changed the colors as they appear on film, but inhibited the growth of alot of desert plants. Would cost too much to replace glass.
