Great White Egret

In the past the Great White Egret has been an occasional summer visitor to  the UK however this one has chosen to over-winter at Grange and is a regular sighting at present.  They are much bigger than the more common Little Egret and have a distinctive long yellow beak.

It was lovely to see some sunshine again today after a succession of dull, wet and at times foggy days.
