We were out early for the papers and came back by the scenic route. The sun managed to breach the heavy clouds and was spreading rays over the Cleveland Hills, the defunct Steelworks and the North Sea. The beach was really busy as it has been every time we have passed. It is a lovely place for a Lockdown walk. This really is not anything like the first lockdown. Everywhere is so busy. I think too many people are ignoring the rules and we have one of the highest number of positive tests in England as a consequence. We had a heavy shower of rain at lunchtime but the afternoon turned out to be sunny. We had a very pleasant walk to the village on our old lockdown route.
