Nuts

It's been another grey old day so it seemed a good time to roast a chestnut or two.. one of the seasons best treats!
We both felt a bit flat today and decided it would be the perfect day to sit and watch a movie.. as it happens it was Brief Encounter and we were looking forward to seeing it.  All ready with a cup of tea we sat down with the tv and saw a few minutes of Djokovic in the ATP semi final playing Thiem.. then came the announcement ... the film was being postponed to Thursday night!!!  with 5 minutes warning... all because the tennis went on too long.. sigh!  Even though it was only a 15 minute overrun the film was stopped and Flog it replaced it... ah well.  . . it seems it is never worth planning anything right now.

The Scottish border is being closed.. wth??? it had better be open soon..
