Amaryllis

Well, the sun came out this afternoon! I met up with Jenny and we walked up Kendal Castle and round to the Waterside Cafe for a takeout coffee. So good to get out!
When I got home I found that my Amaryllis has opened it’s first bud. This is its second season after being outside for the summer. The slugs ate most of its leaves so I thought it would suffer, but in fact it has two flowering stems coming! It would be great if the second one waited until Christmas but I’m very pleased anyway.
