Robin with Cassity

Cassity the pigeon has a damaged leg. It is gradually getting better. She can now put it down on the ground but not really weight bear. Also previously her foot was curled up and now she occasionally straightenes it. I know it is only a pigeon but when she sits outside the patio door looking for food I feel sorry for her. As you can see she looks pretty bedraggled. It will be interesting to see if she fully recovers. You may be thinking, 'how do I know it's a female'. I don't but she exhibits no male behaviour. We will be able to tell properly in the spring when she/he will be looking for a mate.
